"Eek! Me thinks not." Describes this place perfectly. Panino Brothers opened sometime during the winter of 2011/2012 after the Baja Del Sol went out of business. We visited in March 2012. My first impression of the place was that not much had changed since the previous owners. A quick stop in the bathroom to wash my hands confirmed that not only had nothing changed, but nothing appeared to have been cleaned since then either! There were cobwebs in the corners, 4 out of 5 mirror lights were burnt out, and it looked rundown and dirty. Definitively not like a place that just opened! This got me looking at the rest of the restaurant, which wasn't a good idea. There were cobwebs by the table and a real "skimpy" clean appearance. I am not a clean freak, but I've eaten in restaurants in 3rd world countries that were much cleaner than this! Okay, so let's say you don't care about the filth. What about the service? The service was right down at the bottom of the barrel too. Our waiter for the night was inattentive, sarcastic and generally one of those waiters that make you want to say something, but you're a "nice" Minnesotan so you hold your tongue. Now on to the food. DON'T order the salad. I know, they are known for their overpriced panino sandwiches, but they aren't that great either. If you're wondering if I am just hard to please, look at my other reviews and I'm sure you will see that to date I have never had such a poor experience. I predict Panino Brothers in Eden Prairie will go out of business in 6 to 9 months, 12 month tops, unless they make some BIG changes. My recommendation don't waste your time or money!

When this place first opened in EP, I was excited! I've been to the AV location & enjoyed myself & to be honest EDEN PRAIRIE DOESN'T HAVE SPORTS BARS! I like sports, bar food, relaxed atmospheres & (if the mood strikes me) even "dive" bars. So moving to EP was rough, because everything is pretty upetty, snobby & uncomfortable for someone like myself who just wants to watch a game, eat some wings a drink a beer. So, I visited a couple weeks ago & it wasn't bad. My friend and I sat at the bar. The games we wanted were already on, which was nice - that we didn't have to ask. We ordered beers & food. The place was clean & comfortable. There's a patio, you can smoke on too. When our food was ready, we saw it sit there for a few minutes & finally our bartender came over & handed it to us. Since it sat there for a bit it was kinda cold, but the bartender (who turned out to be the owner) was really nice about it & bought us a round of beers to make up for it - which was pretty cool. The food did taste good, just cold. Also the portions are HUGE, you definately get what you pay for in that sense. Overall, just about everything I'd expect out of a sports bar - just nothing over-the-top that will exceed your expectations probably... Honestly, reading some of the other yelps... remember this is a SPORTS bar. I think one guy said it right, if you're expecting candlelight, vast wine & martini lists & a bathroom attendant - than you are in the wrong place & I honestly don't know how you even ended up there. This place is just what they say they're going to be! And trust the name & try a panino - fabulous!

Have read some mixed reviews on here, the negatives were mainly about the service. The place does tend to be understaffed but its never really been that busy when I've been there so it was never a big deal to me. The paninos are great though, I've tried the Philly, the Club and the Buffalo Chicken, I would order any of them again. Huge portions and cheap drinks has made this a new hang for sure.

Restaurant was very quiet during lunch/noon on a weekday (Mon). This might be an indicator of either slow service or sub-par food or both. It turns out it was the slow service. Food arrived 40 min after ordering. Wraps were decent per 3 other people in the group, burgers were not good probably due to frozen beef patty. Not worth the wait and $10 included drinks.

Well THAT will teach me to read my fellow Yelpers reviews before I go to a new spot. This place was awful. First it was a Saturday at 1:45pm - we walked in and saw two tables with two people at them. We sat at the bar and waited more than 5 minutes until we even saw an employee. We ordered drinks, had to ask for a menu - which was tossed at us. There were some new comers at the end of the bar, the bartender knew them and was very attentive to them. After we ordered, we waited more than 30 minutes to see my salad, it came, but i had no silverware to eat it with. The bartender went to the other end of the bar grabbed the silverware and started a conversation with the people at that end!!!! Then, we waited another 10+ minutes to see the burger and panino we ordered. Needless to say the service was down right crappy. The food was just okay, we were charged regular price for drinks at 1:45 and then happy hour started at 2, so our second round was overcharged based on the prices listed on the web page. Oh, and I was lucky enough to have a green pice of 'slim' attached to my second drink. I will never go back there, I hope fellow Yelpers read the reviews first, and I agree -they will be out of business very quickly. DON'T blame it on the 'site", this one is poor management.

I was excited to try a panino for the first time. I walked in around lunch time and my friends and I were the only people there.. Weird. However, the service was great. Our waitress was very nice and we got our meals fast. In terms of the panino, I thought it was incredibly underwhelming. There was way too much going on, my panino was loaded vinaigrette, two types of cheeses and meats. It became soggy quickly which I assume if from the vinaigrette. I ate it anyways, but not up to par for even a decent sandwich. I am in no rush to return anytime soon.

Myself and a couple co-workers went in for lunch the other day. We had never been there before. No one was a the front 'stand' area. The bar was loud and full of people who seemed very drunk for mid-day. We waited but no one came so we sat ourselves. There was NO ONE in the entire restaurant! The place looked very dirty. Extremely dark and depressing. We all sat there for about 10 minutes and were finally so frustrated no one came to our table we just walked out. I cant believe this place is in business! Dirty, Dark and NO service! We will never go back.

Service: mediocre. Food: really tasty. Beer selection and happy hour specials: top notch. A lot of the 3-star reviews here are pretty spot on - I've had pretty middle of the road, understaffed service every time I've dined for lunch. Usually there's just one person working and while it's slow, they have always been fairly attentive. The food is, in my opinion, really good. I've only had the paninos myself because, I mean honestly, why would you eat anything else when it's in the company's name? And they are legitimately SUPER good. Full and flavorful and their fries are good, too. They have a good selection of beers on tap (including some local faves) and their happy hour specials look good though I've never been in when the place has been hopping. I can imagine that they probably do pretty solid liquor sales as the entire place is clearly geared toward bros who come in to smash beers and play Golden Tee while rocking out to Drake or whatever the kids are listening to these days. My advice to you is to go in with an open mind and the middle of the road reviews in mind... you probably won't be too disappointed.

Their groupon was worded 1 per person, so the manager wouldn't accept that me and another individual wanted to use separate groupons. Unsatisfied with customer service and ability to properly word a groupon. Lost customer.

Last minute lunch decision but tried it out anyway. Was surprised to find the place not busy during lunch which is unusual in Eden Prarie. A few folks tricked in but not what you'd typically expect for a lunch time crowd. Food was good though but service was spotty at best. Sat at bar and Bartender was drinking beverages while fixing drinks and walking around. Very strange. He got the job done but was a little slow as the place was severely understaffed. I wouldn't go back again.

Total dive bar, this place is the bottom of the Eden Prairie barrel. Constantly understaffed which is the least of their problems. Beer glasses aren't clean as evidenced by the total lack of lacing that should be left in a beer glass, even worse they go right in the freezer after "washing" which is a complete noob move. Tap beer is foamy and tastes sour-ish like the keg lines haven't been cleaned since the place opened. Now my least favorite part, the patrons...Seems like everyone who was kicked out of the Prairie Pub one too many times flocked here. Witnessed one patron get aggressive with another, when asked to calm down by a third party he threatened to "hire someone in this bar to rape you tonight". Avoid this place like the plague.

Ignoring the over critical negative reviews, my wife and I chose to take advantage of their Groupon offer and form our own opinion. In short, I highly recommended doing the same. It's a great place to watch a game, good service, and a reasonable price on an excellent signature sandwich with a huge selection of choices. Highly recommended the Club. Very tasty & filling. We'll be back, no question.

Dropped by with a groupon about 5 p.m. on a Wednesday night. Dining room empty. Bar crowded with what appeared to be mostly 20somethings enjoying happy hour. Absolutely zero ambience, divey hole in the wall atmosphere with dining room looking similarly dreary. Very loud acoustics. Sandwiches just ok, nothing to write home about. Service mediocre, the wait staff seemed overburdened and was difficult to make eye contact with. Sandwiches 10-12 dollar range, nothing exceptional on the menu. Doubt if I'd come back without a very good coupon.

Wife and I have stopped by here quite a few times, and have always had a great experience. You need to know what you're in for though. You're not coming here for a fancy night out, or a wild raging party. If you're looking for great food at a great price, and some awesome beer/drink specials, this is the place. Great happy hour specials, tasty food, giant portions, and the service (while not always the speediest) is usually very polite and eager to please. Great place to get some solid food and drinks for cheap!

I've been here twice more since my initial visit. The food is always top notch. They definitely have a good product. My main problem with this place is actually the annoying people playing golden tee. They appear to be off duty workers, or at the very least friends of the workers. They are very loud and obnoxious. They act like they own the place and can do whatever they want. I'm not saying that playing golden tee is bad, but the way they conduct themselves is unacceptable. It makes others in the restaurant feel uncomfortable. And if the owners of this place dont agree they are in denial. Seriously take my comments to heart as it is 100% negatively affecting your business. The two stars is for the food and service. Both have been solid everytime.

    (2)
  • Brenda H.

I'm not surprised by the comments on not being busy but the staff and food are terrific! We go a couple times a month for lunch & the service is excellent & the buffalo chicken is awesome! Get over the comments on how many people are there!

Frankly, I'm very surprised at these (mostly dated) reviews. I went there once and had outstanding service during happy hour in the bar area from Erika. 2 weeks later I show up again, she remembered me and even what beer I previously ordered! Awesome. I then tried a Panini - it was outstanding. Huge portions (free lunch for me tomorrow!) and best Panini I've ever had...though I haven't had too many! I've since become a regular, well, regular enough as I live 30 miles away and stop by about once a week. I'll sit down and without a word, a Surly Furious will find its way to my table. Love this place! I'm just afraid that once word gets out about their amazing happy hours for craft beers, this place will be packed. No, I don't work there, but I feel like I complain so much about other places, I need to give a company props when they earn it. I've been to their Apple Valley location once as well, and though it's good too, the service at EP is second to none (in my experience!).

Simply... Been here twice. Food is quite good. Extensive menu. Service was extremely slow, both times. And both times it was not busy, weekday during lunch hours. I would go again simply because the food is good and it's a little different than your typical lunch spot, but can't imagine they'll be around long if the service continues to stink.

Well first, Mollee F. And Karin K are idiots. A panini and panino like Jolene said are not the same thing. If you didn't know that then I'm not sure how you can be a credible food critic. And as for the comment about them having terrible food that is over priced i'm really not sure where that came from. I regularily eat there and it is a very inexpensive meal even with drinks. The portions are in general too big but are you really going to complain about getting leftovers? And good guess about lasting a year max. They are still kicking it now and busier than ever. All in all, the service is sub par, but the staff is very friendly and accomodating with any request. The food is reasonably priced and all of the Paninos are exceptional. You have to keep in mind this is a BAR so the atmosphere is a bar atmosphere. Don't go there if you are expecting a fancy dining experience. If you are trying to find somewhere to watch some sports games or just kick it with some friends for awhile I highly recommend it.

If you've got a hankering for a panini, go somewhere else. This place should actually be called "Wrap Brothers" because that's what they're peddling. We stopped in on a Saturday afternoon during the holiday shopping season and it was dead. There were a few randos at the bar and that was it. No joke. Not a good sign. We dug into the menu, which is huge, and ended up with a buffalo chicken panino (ie wrap) and a fajita "panino". Both were fine. Portions are ginormous. You'll be lucky to finish half of the sandwich in one sitting. They come with chips. Flavors were good, but I've had better buffalo chicken things and my husband has had better fajita things. We won't be in any rush to return.

Was excited to hear that they have a Saturday Happy Hour. That was the best thing going for them. Arrived at 5 on a Saturday and there was maybe 10 people in the restaurant. Should have known then what we were getting into, but we stayed. Our server came over and said just to let you know, our credit card machine is not working. (How does that happen on a Saturday?) They do have an atm on site, but guess who is probably getting the money on your transaction? We had cash, so we stayed because the prices were good. Our friends who got there a little before us had already ordered some chips and salsa. They asked the server if he could bring us an extra thing of salsa for my wife and I to use. He brought out a small sample size that had enough salsa for two chips, but I am glad I didn't ask for more. Service wasn't horrible, but again there was only like 10 people in the restaurant. After happy hour we talked about moving from the bar to the dining area. I went and peeked in and there was only 1 table being used. I said "Let's go somewhere else for dinner." I didn't think it was a good sign if there was only 1 table being used on a Saturday evening at 6. So we asked for the bill, so we could go elsewhere for dinner. When the check came out we noticed a dollar charge for the small sample cup of salsa. Not usually a big deal, but when you inconvenience the customer because your credit card machine isn't working you don't nickel and dime the customer. I had high hopes for this place, but I will not be returning. Not even for the good Happy Hour prices. There are better establishments in the same area that I will give my money to.

Went here with some friends a few months ago for trivia night. The waitress was nice but the service was slow. Not many people were there for trivia, so the bartender waited an extra hour to see if more people showed up. Luckily there was a twins game on to occupy ourselves. Almost all of the trivia questions were dated to the '80s, so my friends and I had no idea what any of the answers were (we were born in 1990). It would have been okay if one round was about the 80s, but not every round. Plus there is no limit for groups, so our group of three was going up against a group of 10+ people. I wasn't impressed with what I ordered, and one of my friends told me she got "sick" the next day after eating there. I don't plan on going back. If I did it would be for drinks and not to eat.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
